Having started my tennis journey at the age of 5, I have been very passionate for the sport ever since! Growing up in Oxford, I feel as I have been exposed to coaching people from all sorts of age ranges and backgrounds! I love it! Being a big fan of both Murray and Djokovic, these have been my role models throughout playing tennis both to a county, and to a regional level.  I have played competitive tennis since I have been a teenager, and I now coach in my spare time whilst being a student at university. Trying to get as many people from all age ranges, involved through the fantastic park’s tennis scheme, is a great passion of mine! Let’s get Oxford on the tennis court!

I am a level 3 tennis coach and I've been coaching in Oxfordshire for 4 years. I became a coach because of my love of the game. I think tennis is a game for everyone and I'm really happy to play a small part in making that happen. I also still play regularly myself for the Kingston bagpuize with Southmoor men's A team. When I'm not coaching or playing tennis I enjoy listening to music, good podcasts and playing squash!

I am a level 3 qualified coach from Wales who has played at a high club level for a number of years. My playing experience has enabled me to teach all ranges of abilities from beginners and advanced players. Being a Welshman, I am used to coaching in all-weather conditions, rain or shine (mainly the former!). It takes a lot to scare me away from lessons and getting on court.

Become a Courtside coach

We employ coaches at different levels to run and support a wide variety of programmes. Currently, there are opportunities to coach on our club, school, park and holiday club programmes, as well as individual private lessons which we are regularly asked about.

All Courtside coaches are required to be DBS checked and have the relevant first aid qualification; they must also successfully demonstrate their coaching ability and attend training sessions with our coaching team as required. Get in touch with us to find out more.

What do Courtside coaches receive?

Courtside coaches are rewarded well, and in return, we expect a high degree of professionalism – which is nothing less than our customers demand or deserve.

We have excellent opportunities for ongoing coach education with our in-house partner Growing the Game. This enables us to create bespoke coaching courses for achieving Level 1 and 2 or above, often at a discount, with like-minded and motivated coaches.

You will also benefit from our own additional training, as we are committed to ensuring all our coaches are fully up to speed on age-appropriate drills and teaching techniques, as well as customer service expectations.

Further off-court support is available to our in-house coaches and local partners in the form of mentoring, marketing, customer service and administration, finance and legal advice.
